OLMC Faculty Witness to a Passion for Learning

The heart of any school is its faculty—those committed men and women who are dedicated to the education of hearts, minds, and souls. Their passion for learning drives what they do; they are accomplished teachers because they have never lost their own desire for discovery and growth. As Pope Benedict XVI said, “A witness is someone who first lives the life that he proposes to others,” and this was evident throughout the time our teachers spent in preparation for the school year. They gathered for a week of study, prayer, and planning together, forming friendships that serve to strengthen both their own teaching skills and the overall student experience.  Our faculty are able to inspire, nurture, and teach their students from their own experience of being inspired, nurtured, and taught. Our staff works to support their efforts through practical assistance and formational guidance. Our students enter our doors each day assured of an encounter with Beauty, Truth, and Goodness because our faculty and staff enter with the same expectation.

This year, our school has grown to over 300 students, which has allowed us to welcome several new faculty and staff members. We are also happy to welcome back beloved faculty and staff, some of whom will be working in new or expanded roles. Increased numbers indicate not only an increasing desire for the classical Catholic education we offer, but serve as confirmation that we are successfully following through on that offer. Families can see that our students are thriving, children who come to our school feel known and loved, and teachers experience the freedom of living fully their vocation to teach the whole student. It is an exciting time to be involved in our educational ministry! We appreciate your continued prayers and support throughout the school year.
