OLMC Parent/Faculty Book Club

“Mother died today. Or maybe it was yesterday, I don’t know.” So begins Albert Camus’ The Stranger, a work that the author himself summarized by saying: “In our society any man who does not weep at his mother's funeral runs the risk of being sentenced to death. I only meant that the hero of my book is condemned because he does not play the game.”

All parents and faculty are invited to read this compelling novel - ranked by Le Monde as number one on its Top 100 Books of the 20th century - and join us for our monthly book club, where we will explore Camus’ brilliant treatment of absurdism and existentialism.
