As you may know, Our Lady of Mount Carmel School takes a unique approach to education: We believe children should go to school for nothing less than that they’ll be better for it, not just when they graduate, but every single day.
Far from keeping kids in their seats to train them how to succeed in high school, college, and ultimately a future career, we want them jumping for joy because they love what they’re learning right now. School should be a place where young people grow into themselves in every facet of their lives -- mind, body, heart, and spirit. A place where they are daily filled with delight and wonder, because their natural curiosity is encouraged and their thirst for learning is channeled and satisfied. In this way, not only do they gain mastery over every subject, they also develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our approach is working: Families are flocking to us, and we are growing and thriving beyond our wildest expectations! Enrollment has grown more than 50% in only two years and now sits at 125 students, with new families inquiring and applying almost weekly. Several families commute a half-hour to forty-five minutes each way to send their children to us. And, in one of the most exciting signs of success, a number of families are now moving into the area specifically so that their children can attend OLMC! Thanks to our recent growth, tuition revenue has more than doubled in two years, and benefaction has increased more than 300%.
And we’re just getting started!
We’re on the brink of truly exciting developments, and I invite you to be a part of it. Please prayerfully consider supporting the 2018-19 Annual Fund: Imagine the Possibilities. It’s a great way to join your financial gift to those of others, and this bundled investment will allow us to turn our greatest dreams into a reality. With your help, we can continue to invest in the crucial initiatives that have made us successful so far: a world-class faculty; beautiful and well maintained buildings and grounds; and curricular and extracurricular programs that give all our students a chance to realize their full potential in every facet of their lives.
You can mail your gift, deliver it to the Parish Office, contribute online at www.olmc.academy/annualfund, or contact Mr. Minson or me for more details. Thank you for your crucial support!
